Pam Griffin, Artist

I work in watercolour, oils and acrylics, reflecting a strong NZ flavour: the bush, wildlife, the special mana of the land and mythical themes. Co-partner and parent with Trevor Heighway of a large family in a rambling villa on the banks of the Ohinemuri river, Coffeys Creek, Waihi NZ.

We work together on many designs for commissions such as the Tauranga water feature Whakakotahi (Unity) which I designed and Trevor sculpted out of 7 tons of stone. I sculpt also, mainly heads of special entities for garden guardians. I take Kauri aged over 1000yrs from ancient forest roots and trunks and make special food platters with hand-painted NZ Taniwha (mythical water dragon) designs. I am available for commission work.

Samples of my work are below and on our portfolio page.
